The origin of National Smoke and Mirrors Day on March 29 is unknown.
Bingo!! Yes!!
“Smoke and Mirrors” means that we’re being hoodwinked into believing something is true or that it is functional when it really isn’t.
Then NATIONAL TODAY went into the “Real Meaning” of Smoke and Mirrors!!
Smoke and Mirrors is intended to promote appreciation of the art and skill of magicians who specialize in illusion.

VIETNAM..
I wrestled with myself for some time in a “Do I.. Don’t I..” publish a Post about this NATIONAL TODAY subject, the Vietnam War.
We commemorate those who fought in the Vietnam War on National Vietnam War Veterans Day, March 29th.
Over 2.7 million Americans served during this war. 58,220 died during the War.
There were many other casualties (over 300,000) during the years of battle.
First I MUST state:
I did not fight (in live combat) “In Country” during the Vietnam War!
However, I was in the “Active United States Marine Corps Reserves: and then in the “U.S. Navy Sea Bee Reserves” during the years of the Vietnam War, 1964 to 1975.
Translation: I was a short, New York Minute, telephone call away, from being available and called to full time active duty “In Country”.
Today I have a small cadre of very close friends who served “In Country” during “Nam”.
In their honor, and to honor all who were “In Country” during “Nam” I have decided to go forward here.
Lastly I have indeed visited Vietnam and enjoyed my visit.
