Let’s begin by studying several NATIONAL TODAY Holidays that Patti selected for us to read.

Patti speaking: When I brought up NATIONAL TODAY holidays today to see what Cap might choose to put in our post, Husband Appreciation Day came up as  Number 1, at the very top of today’s Holidays. I told Cap, “This has GOT to be one of your selections.” If there was a competition for the most outstanding, most helpful, most loving, etc, etc, husband, Cap would win the gold, no question in my mind about it. He could not be more greatly appreciated, nor could I possibly feel more blessed. Cap agreed to include it here.

HUSBAND APPRECIATION DAY..

Husband Appreciation Day is observed on the third Saturday in April.

This Holiday is also known as National Husband Day or World Husband Day.

We love this little-known holiday, dedicated to the men in our lives who show up for us in bold and subtle ways every day of the year. Its fun-loving spirit gives we lucky spouses an opportunity to be creative and thoughtful in how we show our appreciation to our partners..

This next holiday “Caught Patti’s fancy”!

INTERNATIONAL JUGGLERS DAY.. 

International Jugglers Day is observed on April 18 every year.

This IS something.. The first known representation of juggling was discovered in the Beni-Hassan tombs of the ancient Egyptian civilization’s Middle Dynasty. Inside one of the crypt’s murals, depictions of lady jugglers were found amid acrobats and dancers. The artwork was created around 2000 B.C. After the Beni-Hassan tombs, there is a 1500-year hiatus until evidence of juggling returns in Greek art.

This IS amazing!! The finest jugglers in the world can toss and catch 14 balls simultaneously. I can’t believe that this is possible!

ANNIMAL CRACKERS..

National Animal Cracker Day is celebrated on April 18th.

Animal crackers have been part of American childhood memories since the late 1800s when they were first imported from England where animal crackers were invented.

The popular Barnum’s Animal Cracker boxes have featured 53 different animal shapes since being introduced in 1902, including special limited editions. Today, you will find 19 animal shapes in Barnum’s Animal Cracker boxes: two bear shapes, bison, camel cougar, elephant, giraffe, gorilla, hippopotamus, hyena, kangaroo, koala, lion, monkey, rhinoceros, seal, sheep, tiger, and the zebra.
