A real chuckle for Patti and me! This morning we attended a meeting of probably forty (40) people. Thirty Eight (38) of them (everyone but Patti and me) spent the past full winter here in Alaska.
Before the meeting, I said to a friend .. “Toby I am freezing after coming back here from the Arizona Desert!”
Toby said.. “Cap! I.. Am.. Freezing.. and I have been here all year!”
When I shared during the meeting, I repeated this and the entire room howled.
After the meeting, every single friend we spoke to said .. “Cap I too am freezing!”
You just have to keep laughing.

Today’s Rhetorical Question.
When I sat down here, late Sunday Evening, May the 3rd, I had absolutely no idea, not one clue in a carload of clues, what on earth I was going to write.
NATIONAL TODAY was absolutely no help for either Patti nor me. BUT, I said to Patti as I walked out here to our laptop .. “I am not ready to break Our Streak!”
Rhetorical Question: Is keeping OUR (all of us) Streak intact a valid reason to write a Post?
BUT, as this Post unfolded before my eyes, I actually had fun, and Patti said she enjoyed it too!!

Beautiful photos, and YES it is completely reasonable to keep your writing streak going! I look forward to your posts nearly every day, and Gullible too when she’s on a streak.
Thank you, and have a great, warm day. Bundle up buttercup! We’ve got wind, maybe some rain, and tolerable at 47f degrees this morning. Tim is getting ready for a shoulder replacement Friday at Black Hills Orthopedic and Spine Center here. One overnight stay is what they say. We shall see. He’ll be one armed for 6 weeks…they say. 3 to 6 months recovery to about 25% for permanent and stationary…they say. Wish him luck!

Oh My Kit. Oh My, Oh My. Whewie !! I do not envy Tim. Further words and thoughts fail me. I have happily chosen, since 2020, to live with my torn right Rotator Cuff. Just last week I saw my Orthopedic Doctor. He gave me an injection that did nothing. I have more than a few friends who experienced surgery. Whewie. Our prayers and love to Tim and to you Kit. Cap and Patti
I got chilled yesterday while out in the wind and light rain, picking up litter. Came home, took a hot shower, sat in front of an electric heater for three hours. Then I went to bed, swaddled in fleece and flannel.
Oh My Gullible. And, unlike we “Arizona Desert Rats” who wintered in the desert, YOU have been in Alaska all winter so “should” have become acclimated to winter even though it IS in early May. Smiling and proud of your self-care. Cap and Patti
