What is in a name ??

I saw a woman in the below NATIONAL TODAY Holiday photo for the name Avery. I thought to myself .. “Hmmm. Avery is a feminine name.”

Then I checked it out.

Avery is an English and French name designated for both boys and girls, which perhaps explains its popularity in America, even though it originates from Europe.

From the 1800s through to the last half of the 1900s, Avery was a popular boy’s name. It was only used for girls at the beginning of the 21st century.

National Avery Day is celebrated on May 7 to bestow honor and regard on all the people around the world who identify with the name Avery.

In my entire lifetime, I have only one connection to the name Avery!!

Avery Casey was my maternal Grandfather !! He was my Mother’s father.

Avery Casey was a prominent Attorney in the Kings Court of England out in Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada, where my Mother was raised after being born in London, Ontario, Canada.

I saw a photo of Avery Casey holding me when I was two (2) years old.

My.. Mother.. Would.. Not.. Talk.. About.. Her.. Father.. Other than telling me his occupation and several sketchy details (he worked a lot and was gone a lot). I assume he and my maternal grandmother were divorced.

Intel created World Password Day, the first Thursday of May (May 7 this year) to address the critical need for solid passwords.

Most operating systems offer an easy way to create and store passwords. You can also go online to generate passwords which are practically hacker-proof.

Strong and secure passwords are crucial, especially now that most of our work is done online. It is better to have complex and unique passwords, which are not easy to guess.

General Guidelines for strong Passwords..

A password should be 16 characters or more. 45 percent of Americans use passwords of eight characters or less, which are not as secure as longer passwords.
A password should include a combination of letters (upper and lower case), numbers, and special characters.
A password shouldn’t be shared with any other account.
A password shouldn’t include any of the user’s personal information like their address or phone number. It’s also best not to include any information that can be accessed on social media like kids’ or pets’ names.
A password shouldn’t contain any consecutive letters or numbers. They don’t mention consecutive special characters.

Cap and Patti

This is Wednesday the 7th of May. Patti and I watched Episode 11 of Survivor 50 several hours ago. Now we want to check out Dalton Ross and his recap of tonight’s show.
