MAY 11, 26 (1 / 2).. DEFINE THE WORD MOTHER..
It is Sunday evening, it’s still Mother’s Day 2026, May 10th as I write this Post.
Captain? You want us to define the word Mother?
Google says: A mother is a female parent, representing the woman who gave birth to, nurtures, or raises a child. The term also refers to a woman in authority, such as a mother superior, or metaphorically as the origin of something.
Just yesterday, we discussed Intuition.
I was writing in Patti’s Mother’s Day card this morning and (words fail me) an amazing “Spiritual Message or Intuitive Thought” visited me.
Patti has never birthed a child. So technically, in terms of our common usage of the word Mother, Patti has never been a Mother.
But it’s Mother’s Day huh God?
Below are the words I actually wrote to Patti in her Mother’s Day Card.

My very dearest Patti.. You’re so many beautiful things – a strong woman, a loving wife, an amazing mom.. Yes! You are indeed a very deeply Spiritual Mom. A Spiritual Mother of the Universe. No, you have not birthed a child, but you do so very, very many “Motherly” acts of love and kindness to others. Oh how I love you. Cap

Get it? Patti lives the life of an active and a deeply caring Mother towards others. So Patti IS indeed a Mother in her own way.

For What It’s Worth.. “Something IS happening here.. What it is ain’t exactly clear ..
A friend of 26 years texted the below to Patti today ..
Happy Mother’s Day Miss Patti. Although I know you don’t actually have children of your own, I know a lot of people you have had a Mom like influence on. Me included. I love you Lady.

So it looks like Patti does qualify as a Mother metaphorically as the origin of something.

To put it mildly, Patti and I enjoyed a very relaxed Mother’s Day. We slept late. We talked about a late breakfast at our local IHOP but we ended up staying home because it was wet and drizzly and cool.

A photo is worth a thousand words. It has been a very “Dark Day”.

So many I have crossed in my life’s path are “motherly. ” Woman, old and young, and men too have filled the role of mom to other’s. I consoder myself very lucky to be both a biological and adoptive mother. Before I had my own kids, however, I had the pleasure of helping 2 of my siblings raise their children, as well while having mine, also helping my younger sister with her 3. When I added her 3 to my 2 at our country homes just 3 doors apart it sure made it easy for both of us. Vice versa too!
Now I “mother” animals.
It is a great skill to have, and even though my kids live far away from me, I know I did my part in helping them move forward in life. I just can’t believe Stephen will be 30 years old this Sunday.
Take good care!
Kit
Thanks so very much Kit for your comment about the Mothering phenomenon. This spiritual message that I received sure opened my eyes to other phases of Mothering. Fun that now you currently “Mother” your animals with great psychic returns from them. Cap and Patti
