Good Friends and faithful followers, it seems to me that we as a society are being .. (the right word or words fail me !!).
It began with my left eye and my periodic injections into my left eye for my Wet Macular Degeneration.
After an injection, fluid from the injection works it way out of my eye and accumulates into a very bothersome “residue” on the area outside of, and immediately below and around my left eye. My eye medical team suggested a Lid Cleanser to soften and remove this bothersome “residue”.
On right in the above photo is what I used to get when I would buy a special cleanser (OCuSOFT Lid Scrub Original) for my eyes and eye lids.
Get it? Got it? Good!!
On the left side (another photo so you don’t have to look up again)..
.. is what I received in a recent re-order !!
Oh !! I am forgetting to tell you that the price was the same for the recent tiny container as it has been for the original very large container!!
Help me. It seems to me that we are being.. (you put in the adjective) by big business !!

No !! The Eye Lid Scrub people are not alone !
On the right above is what I have always been getting for Prune Juice at our Kroger Stores. A 64 oz (8 cup) bottle. I then pour the 64 oz bottle into eight, 8 oz, bottles for use at breakfast.
Not knowing what I was getting, the bottle (the new size of 48 oz (6 cups) on the left only filled six (not eight) 8 oz bottles. Only then did I realize what had happened.

Down in Bullhead City, Arizona, at Sam’s Club, we purchase our Kellogg’s Raisin Bran. The box is identical to what is has always been.
But the two bags inside are now each noticeably smaller !!
Yes indeed the price has also risen as well. So more $$ for less cereal is a real price increase.

Gullible, for two days in a row there have been NO NATIONAL TODAY Holidays that we can even vaguely relate to!

Nope. Google them.
IMHO I’d venture to state the familiar old refrain: Plain and simple we’re getting “Scrw*!d, Blued…and now we’re not even getting the tattoo! And to think that the multi-national vendors and “Top 1%” are getting richer and fatter as the hands on the ol’ clock keep tickin’! A truly sad state of affairs.
Footnote: I keep prayin’ that we never get to the thoughts of a Soylent Green society come to fruition.

We were not familiar with what we now know, thanks to your comment and Wikipedia, that Soylent Green was a a 1973 American dystopian (an imaginary place or society where conditions are extremely bad, oppressive, or dehumanizing) thriller film directed by Richard Fleischer, and starring Charlton Heston, Leigh Taylor-Young, and Edward G. Robinson in his final film role.
