Below is a No Brainer for Yours Truly.

My Father served in the United States Coast Guard Reserve as an auxiliary volunteer during the days of World War II and for some time thereafter. I clearly remember him wearing his uniform as he would be leaving to serve on an active duty assignment.

The U.S. Coast Guard Birthday, is observed every August 4th.

This day honors the brave men and women who safeguard our nation’s waterways, enforce maritime law, and perform critical search and rescue missions.

Join us in recognizing their valor and discipline, and learn more about the essential services of the founding of this vital military branch on August 4th, 1790.

Recent figures show that the U.S. Coast Guard comprises approximately 42,000 active duty personnel, 7,000 reservists, and over 31,000 auxiliary volunteers. This combined force ensures comprehensive maritime safety and security.
