SEP 29, 14 .. ON THE ROAD ..
Patti and I left Royal Oak Michigan about 6PM and drove to Port Huron Michigan planning to spend the night there.
Unfortunately we could not find ‘Motel Row’ because of the closure of several exits on Interstate-94 in Port Huron. In a vain attempt to find motels in Port Huron we just got totally lost. When I asked for directions to ‘Motel Row’ I was told “Go under the bridge on Main Street and turn left and etc you will find ‘Motel Row’.”
I did precisely what I was instructed to do and went DIRECTLY onto the Blue Water bridge leading across the river to Sarnia Canada!! Once I made the left turn it was go-to-Canada and there was absolutely no turning back.
London Ontario is about 60 miles from Sarnia Ontario so we just drove to London. We checked into a Motel 6 paying 81.35 Canadian Dollars.
Patti flipped on the television in our room to ESPN just in time to see the end of the Monday Night Football game in which the Kansas City Chiefs BLASTED the New England Patriots by the score of 41-14.
It is now 12:40AM early Tuesday morning the 30th of September and it is time-to-go-to-bed.
Tomorrow we will visit the cemetary where my parents are buried and then head for Buffalo New York and re-enter the United States from Canada.
