AUG 2, 19 .. ‘ZILLA ENCOURAGED ME TO POST MORE RESTAURANT VISITS ..

Your friend and my friend, our one, our only ‘Zilla, left us a message to the effect of :  It’s always fun to hear about the places and restaurants you visit – and of course about the meals and the photos that go along with your visits! As they say, a picture is worth a thousand words!

And so below you have a link to check-out Kowloon / Hong Kong’s Tequila Jack’s whose motto is : the hot place for a cold one.

For those of you who remember our friend Simon, we still have no idea as to where he is, or what he is doing. We heard that he was in Australia but that news is several years old. I bring this up because I put a photo of Simon into the above post because he joined us at Tequila Jack’s for nachos.

And that is that for now.

A little chit-chat with Patti :

My Dear One, I have NOT forgotten the Hollyhocks. They seem to be stagnating. Below is a photo that I snapped today and I think you will see a lot of buds are still yet-to-open.

Do flowers necessarily bloom all of their buds? Do you suppose the lack of sunshine due to the forest-fire-haze is affecting them?

I walked past YOUR lovely little park and snapped two photos for you.

Her flowers sure look healthy don’t they. You can see the sky in the background is not blue but sort of overcast from the haze. I said “Hi” to your park for you.

Thank you for the new picture of the hollyhocks. They do look like they are waning, but still lovely. Yes, generally, all the buds do open before the season is completely over. Thank you also for the current pictures of my favorite little “pocket park” of lovely flowers, obviously a labor of love. Nice post!! Hugs, Patti

The lovely little park will always be, in my mind, your very own ‘pocket park’. That, along with Sculpture Park, a few steps further Southeast down Lenin Street, belong to you My Dear One. You noticed them both.

I am feeling a bit of distress for the hollyhocks. I hope they do ‘flower out’ before summer ends. I’ll continue to keep-my-eyes-on-them as the days pass. Happy for your comment. Love Cap
