AUG 26, 19 .. KHABAROVSK (to my ears it sounds as KAHBARSK )

Olesya my translator has advised me that I have been invited to speak in Khabarovsk (upper red balloon ). I am hearing it : Khabarovsk .. My ears are not hearing the sounds of the ‘o’ and the ‘v’ in its name.

It is about 400 air-miles North and it would be a 1 hour 25 minute flight up from Vladivostok (lower red balloon ). By either train or automobile it is about 11-1/2 hours.

For all you will ever need to know about Khabarovsk below you have it :

If you have taken a few moments to read the link, you will see that Khabarovsk is not chopped liver.

You have God and you have yourself. My plans are to leave Russia September the 9th because my Russian Visa expires on September the 14th and probably not return. With such an intriguing invitation on-my-table, I wonder what God has in mind for yours truly. A new Visa and a future return to Russian Siberia?

Subject to change, at this moment, Oleysa and I feel that, with my current schedule here in Vladivostok quite full, we will have to pass on this invitation.

I’m living an adventure that I am not able to fully believe.

For What It’s Worth : Something IS Happening Here, What It Is Ain’t Exactly Clear ..

Can you imagine having a life-threatening health crisis in Khabarovsk, Russian Siberia?

As you are wheeled into the ER an admitting Doctor quietly tells you that : “We have the only Doctor in all of Russia that can help you and she is here on our staff!”

With A Grin .. Cap

Much as it might have been nice to fulfill this request to come north from Vladivostok, I, too, feel it was the right decision not to go .. especially when you told me the flights in and out only go twice a week. You just do not have that many days left there anymore! I did read the link about Khabarovsk .. interesting! Hugs .. Patti

Well I’ll say this : At least now I have heard of Khabarovsk and have a healthy respect for the city that it appears to be. A serious major city in the far East of Russia. Who’d thunk we’d be getting to know so much about Russian Siberia and loving it too. Love .. Cap
