DEC 5, 19 .. CAP HAS DONE IT ONE MORE TIME ..

DECEMBER 5, 2019

Yet ONE MORE TIME, Cap has managed to get himself “packed out” and ready to travel. He, with some great regret, disposed of the cardboard and juice boxes he has been using for miscellaneous furniture while in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, as well as various bottles jars, etc. and began packing up a few days ago.

Cap’s flight from Mongolia to Seoul, Korea departs at 7:35 a.m. Mongolia time, December 6th – that is 2:35 p.m. Alaska Time, December 5th, and 6:35 p.m. Eastern Time, December 5th. Because his accommodations there are on the Seventh (7th) Floor, and the elevator does NOT operate between midnight and 6 a.m., he moved everything of his to a small hotel next door and spent the night at the hotel.  There was NO WAY he would have been able to carry all of his baggage down seven flights of stairs to leave for the airport at 5:30 a.m. !! He had arranged for a taxi to take him to the airport.

So .. the curtains close on another three months in Mongolia for our Captain. It is both with a heavy heart and a full heart that he departs. He was able to spend time with and say good-by to his closest friends and his favorite places over this past week .. good-by until next time ..

Three nights in Seoul, Korea, then four nights in Seattle, and THEN .. he will be in MY welcoming arms again.

Cap asked me to send out this post and to tell all of you that he was too tired to unpack his laptop to do his own writing .. but, you do KNOW he will be back on-line soon!!

Cheers, Smiles, Hugs, and Love to all of our followers.  Patti (humbled to be able to do this)

    Dear Captain,
You are likely still traveling to Korea as I write this. I just wanted to a) let you know I received my two beautiful postcards from Mongolia (the stamps are phenomenal!), b) I have been digesting all of your adventures of this past year, and want to know I both admire you SO VERY MUCH and am inspired (have purposely been adding more travels to the itinerary and working really part-time this year to accommodate said travels—first time to New Orleans next week), and c) am thankful your health has held strong through your amazing time abroad. I am always keeping both you and Patti in my prayers and just know how thrilled she must be that you are on your way back to her. Do figure a way to keep up your fun activities and exercise when you get to Alaska. I’ll be thinking of you when I’m walking my couple of miles a day at my YMCA in San Mateo!
Continue to have fun and safe travels on your way back to this side of the world.
    Warmly,
    Kitty
P.S. You and Patti will pleased to know that beautiful young Amy, now 17, has accepted admission to Arizona State University – West Campus (up by Glendale) into their Pharmacology/Toxicology bachelor’s program with an eye to Physician’s Assistant school after her bachelor’s! Go Sundevils! Now I will have 2!

Happy to know my post cards to you are getting through. I sent more than two however. Health is absolutely first and most important. Without health things disappear instantly. I too am amazed at how strong I have been for well over a year now. We will be staying in Tempe, the home of Arizona State’s main campus, when we visit the Mayo Clinic at the end of January. We also know the Glendale area as well since we stayed in that part of Phoenix on our last trip there. Seeing you down there that one visit was wonderful. Smiles from Seoul, South Korea and Anchorage Alaska. Cap and Patti.
