APR 24, 13 .. ‘ZILLA ASKS .. PART V ..

‘Zilla has a recurrent ‘ZILLA ASKS theme that goes as follows: “Cap tell me about what sights there are to see in and around Kodaikanal.”

After a lot-of-thought .. and trust me I have given this a lot-of-thought .. I have come to the conclusion that .. as a ‘somewhat general rule’ NOT as an ‘ABSOLUTE general rule’ .. I am not particularly interested in many of the traditional Tourist Attractions ..

February 9th (give or take a day) of 2012 .. on my first ever visit here to Kodaikanal .. I took a ‘Local Sightseeing Tour’ .. below was the itinerary.

The itinerary for the morning was:

Croakers Walk / Upper Lake View / PIne Forest / Moier Point / Guna Cave / Pillar Rocks / Golf Course / Pambar Falls ..

LUNCH

The itinerary for the afternoon was:

Kurunji Andavar Temple / Palani View / Kodai City View / Chettiar Park / Jain Temple / Bryant Park ..

In my two Blogspot Posts dated 15 APR 2013 .. Part I and Part II .. I showed what I saw from the above all-day tour.

“SO?” Many of you may ask? “Your point is?”

I sit with somewhat ‘mixed’ feelings and ‘mixed’ reactions as to the tour issue. Here is my conclusion: There 100% definitely is a time-and-a-place for commercial tours. In fact .. preceding this Post .. if you read it .. you saw some photos that I snapped on-a-tour I just took here in Ooty today. This will be proof that I am NOT .. in ANY WAY .. against tours!

BELOW ARE SOME UNUSUAL TOURIST SIGHTS THAT I AM INTERESTED IN ..

This man is INSIDE of my restaurant. He is evidently still so cold that inside of the restaurant he has his ear muffs and stocking cap on .. this ‘Tourist Sight’ I find interesting!
