OCT 7, 21 .. SAFELY BACK HOME IN ANCHORAGE

Yesterday, Wednesday the 6th of October, we drove the 160 miles from Manley Hot Springs into Fairbanks. All things considered (at best the road can be a challenge) we had relatively good road conditions and we arrived safe and sound. We enjoyed dinner with two friends and called it a day around 12 o’clock midnight.

Today, Thursday the 7th of October, we drove the 360 miles from Fairbanks to our Condo here in Anchorage.

Our weather went from rain ..

To snow ..

Please allow me to tell you this : Rain on top of ice, or hard packed snow, creates very bad walking and driving conditions.

And ?

We also had dry roads and a little sun and beautiful Alaskan scenery in the mix.

And ?

The two of us are very happy and pleased that the weather did cooperate to the extent that we were at least able to make the trip. Patti and I split todays driving about 50-50.

And ?

We are both tired out.

Still Smiling .. Cap and Patti
