DEC 11, 22 (1/2) .. YES !! ANOTHER TRAVEL DAY .. OFF TO PHOENIX AND THE MAYO CLINIC
Yesterday’s tomorrow, once again, has arrived.
Sunday, December 11th
TODAY Patti and I are off for Phoenix, Arizona, where we will begin our appointments at the Mayo Clinic.
We will be staying at “our” Motel 6 in Phoenix.
All things considered (bottom line cost, close to the Mayo Clinic, ETC) this has become our “home base” here in Phoenix when we have Mayo Clinic appointments.
For What It’s Worth .. This will be a very busy day. Just getting our belongings out of our hotel room here at the Edgewater Casino Hotel, is quite a task.
Our good friend Ginny came to see-us-off. We had another hotel guest snap our photo in the entrance to the Edgewater.
After we are checked out, we will then make a quick stop here at the Sam’s Club in Bullhead City, Arizona, just across the Colorado River from the Edgewater. Then we will head for Kingman, Arizona, where we will stop at Walmart to make a return, make a quick visit to see a friend, and a quick stop at “our” Kingman Thai Restaurant.
And THEN ? Off for Phoenix heading East on Interstate 40 and then South down U.S. 93 through Wikieup, Arizona, to U.S. 60 and into Phoenix. It’s just a tad over 200 miles and we usually take 4 hours to make the drive.
Still Standing ! Still Smiling ! Feeling ready for the journey.
Over And Out ..
Time to Hit The Road.

- DEC 12, 22 .. WE ARE SAFELY IN PHOENIX .. TOMORROW (TUESDAY) IS MAYO CLINIC DAY
Noticed you stack boxes in your loadings pictures. When stacking boxes in my mini van, I use “Rug Sure” (sticky pads to keep area rugs from sliding) between boxes during travel. I can stack the boxes 3 high to the ceiling.
Great idea Robert. I like to use the non-skid drawer liners you get at Walmart stores. I’ll have to check out Rug Sure. No doubt Rug Sure is to keep throw rugs on wooden floors from sliding out from under you. Thanks for your comment and interest .. Cap
You travel light, huh?🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪
Too funny Gullible. When we are on-the-road for several months we eat in our rooms. This alone generates two kitchen boxes. We have a small hot plate to cook Pasta Roni and heat soup, utensels, food storage items, kitchen timers, etc et all. We keep extra groceries on hand as well. Laundry items also. Too much to go into here. Car maintenance items occupy space. Clothing for several seasons. And on and on and on. Health items, my CPAP has its own box with spare masks and assorted hoses etc. Computer items galore. A laptop and four cameras and more. Electrical extension cords and three way plugs. Dental items (I use a water pik oral irrigator). Still Standing. Still Smiling. Cap and Patti.
