JAN 16, 23 .. FOR WHAT IT’S WORTH

Today it is ..

Monday, the 16th of January

Patti and I will be driving from Lake Havasu City South to Phoenix. The one and the only reason for our trip is because of Mayo Clinic appointments on Wednesday the 18h.

We hope and we plan to return to Lake Havasu City either late Wednesday afternoon / evening or Thursday.

Sunday, the 15th of January

What did we do today? Basically we watched all, or part of, three National Football League Playoff games.

Via text messaging, we watched the games with Gord and Tom Tiger.

Each game was an Oh-My Oh-My, we are in the final 2 minutes of the game and we are wondering who is going to win the game.

The Buffalo Bills squeaked  past the Miami Dolphins 34 – 31.

The favored Minnesota Vikings lost to the New York Giants 24 – 31.

The Cincinnati Bengals squeaked past the Baltimore Ravens 24 – 17 because of one of the most historic feats in playoff history. Baltimore was on the goal line about to score a touchdown and go ahead 24 – 17 when the Baltimore quarterback lost the ball and a Bengal defensive lineman caught the ball in-the-air and ran 98 yards down the field giving the Bengals a 24 – 17 lead that held up the rest of the game. BUT with 8 seconds left in regulation time Baltimore still had a chance when a Hail-Mary pass into the end zone was not caught.

In the mix I walked to our local Smith’s Food and Drug and back. Patti and I attended a 5:30pm to 6:30pm meeting. My left thumb (that is making this a difficult task to type) that I cut deeply last night is looking O.K. today.

By The Way

Yesterday’s Post here on dotnet had a section about our being volunteers for the Havasu Balloon Festival. AFTER publishing yesterday’s Post (which some of you on the East Coast may have already read) I went back a few hours later and inserted a link to a Post on blogspot about our volunteering for the Balloon Festival. Just in case you missed it, below is link to our blosgpot Havasu Balloon Festival post.

I can’t speak for any of you who follow along with us BUT I am really enjoying going back into our photo files and posting special photo shoots.

Today we take a quick look at The 130 Kvartal Shopping Mall, located in Irkutsk, Russian Siberia, where we lived for 9 months and if we could, we would return !
