MAR 25, 23 .. THE TIME HAS COME WALRUS SAID..

The time has come, the Walrus said, To talk of many things: Of shoes — and ships — and sealing-wax —. Of cabbages — and kings —. Of why the sea is boiling hot and whether Pigs have wings .. The Walrus and the Carpenter by Lewis Carroll

The time has come for us to move out of our apartment here in Lake Havasu City, Arizona, and head North to Laughlin, Nevada, where we will stay for six nights at one of our all time favorite hotels, the Edgewater.

Then next Saturday, April the 1st, we fly home to Anchorage, Alaska. It seems “Fitting” that we chose “April Fools Day” to leave weather in the 60s and 70s and even the low 80s to go home to 34°F temperatures and snow and dangerous “Black Ice” on roads and sidewalks.

Yes! We are leaving warm and sunny scenes such as those below for snow and ice and all that goes with them.

Gullible thinks that we are “nuts” to leave here and return to Alaska before next May. We actually “thought about” extending our stay down here but have opted to maintain our in-place-plan that we put in place last December.

Meanwhile, “Back At The Ranch” up in Anchorage, Alaska..

Our friend and Ally Pete, the keeper of our Chevrolet Suburban up in Anchorage, texted me yesterday saying that our truck is now ready to go back into service.

Today .. The Time Has Come .. to “get packing out of our apartment here”.

Read : We will be fairly busy all day today.

At least the sun is shinning. Dusting of snow last night some to come Wednesday. And Thursday. 28 inches on the ground according to news last night. 24 inches by the time of April 1st. 😫

Oh My Oh My Eva. Thanks for yet another weather report from our many friends in Alaska advising us to stay here until May. God Willing we will see you in a week or so. We arrive late next Saturday evening the 1st of April (aka April Fool’s Day). Smiles .. Cap and Patti

By mid-February, Anchorage has received 71 inches of snow. It almost breaks the record. Not sure if it snowed more since then. Sure did here.
