Ginny and Tom, our great friends down in Arizona.

Tom is an avid (having or showing a keen interest in, or enthusiasm for, something) walker. From the Summer day in July of 2009 when we met in Royal Oak, Michigan, at a Summer Picnic, until this moment, Tom walks.

And then? Tom walks some more. A 3 mile walk for Tom is “Par for the course!”.

Moving right along here perhaps some of you don’t know what a “Road Runner” is?

So I asked Wikipedia this question. If you click onto the below link you have the answer.

Roadrunners or chaparral birds or chaparral cocks, are two species of fast-running ground cuckoos with long tails and crests.

Recently, during one of his walks, Tom snapped photos of a Roadrunner who seemed to be happily keeping Tom company.

In Lake Havasu City, Arizona, in the neighborhood where Patti and I stay, there are MANY Road Runners but they don’t sit still for photographs! They are characters!

Before I forget! Tom IS also an avid “Smartphone Photographer”.  A few years ago I said to Patti, “Patti, IF Tom can take and send all of these photos I think maybe I can also do it.” Thanks 100% to Ginny, who taught Tom how to shoot and then to send smart phone photographs, now I am able to do so.
