Here is : The Rest Of The Story!

Do  any of you ever wonder “How I come up with titles” here on dotnet?

For What It’s Worth, sometimes I simply don’t have a title, even after writing a Post, so I “default to” For What It’s Worth as a title.

I simply will not allow myself to get “stuck or paralyzed” spending time on a Post Title!

And some days (today being one of them) a Title just “leaps up into my mind”!

MULTI-TASKING

Multi-tasking is the concept that one can split their attention on more than one task or activity at the same time, such as speaking on the phone while driving a car.

Multitasking can result in time wasted due to human context switching and becoming prone to errors due to insufficient attention.

However! IF one becomes proficient at two tasks, it is possible to rapidly shift attention between the tasks and perform the tasks well.

For more, For MUCH More, far more than you may be interested in, go to Wikipedia.

My definition : For me multi-tasking is a process that takes me “out of the present”. When I find myself multi-tasking, I ask myself what is it about right now that I want to avoid.

MULTI-TASKING

Watching several NFL Football Games that we are very interested in (9am Seattle Seahawks vs Detroit Lions, 12:30pm NY Jets vs Dallas Cowboys, and throw in the final quarter 7pm of the Miami Dolphins at the New England Patriots) AND be thinking about ALL that I have to do to get out of here tomorrow (Monday the date of this Post).

FOR BY THIS TIME SANITY WILL HAVE  RETURNED.

As the 9am game between the Seahawks and Lions began, I turned to Patti and I said : This is crazy! We are going to watch two football games that we are REALLY interested in and, at the same time, I will be “fretting” about us packing up and leaving tomorrow Monday!

BOTTOM LINE

In order to watch and enjoy today’s games, let’s NOT leave tomorrow and go Tuesday! Then we can relax today, enjoy the games, and have all day tomorrow Monday to pack out and leave Tuesday!

Now You Know .. The Rest of The Story about why we are NOT leaving today to go North.

Is anyone impressed? I did NOT go into any details about the three games we watched!

I was certain you’d have a long post on the Seahawks/Lions game and you fooled me. However, postponing until Tuesday makes a lot of sense. Enjoy your farewell trip to Manley.

Gullible!! I had YOU IN MIND when I wrote my Post Script : Is anyone impressed? I did NOT go into any details about the three games we watched!

I thought you’d never read the Post as you are out and off today on your big trip! Big Smiles have a great time! Cap and Patti

I’m so glad you postponed your trip so you could enjoy your time watching football. In reading your post today, I realized that as I was switching between the SF Giants and the 49ers games, I wasn’t able to fully enjoy either one. (Although to say I enjoyed the Giants game would be a stretch because they had a big lead, then nearly lost the game.)

Yes, the Rockies are the worst team in the National League at .376 (56 wins, 93 losses.) However, they are not the worst overall. The Oakland As and KC Royals are worse at .309 and .325 respectively. A measly 46 wins (103 losses) this year for the As whose owner is planning to move them to Las Vegas. Another Bay Area team lost to Vegas.

Yes indeed Kathleen. So too are we. It was the right call. ENJOY one thing fully at a time. Smiles Kathleen. As always in all ways, thanks so very much for your support. Cap and Patti
