NATIONAL TODAY..

Yesterday I wrote at length about my discovery last March the 23rd of a  website that advised its readers of Special Items of Interest for each day of the year.

https://babakaps.net/?p=60605

I then went into great detail about where this category was heading.

And I concluded with the below summary..

Step One. I have closed the category .. National Today Is What Day?

Step Two.  I have a monthly category .. NATIONAL DAY – MARCH .. NATIONAL DAY – APRIL .. etc.

Step Three. Does The Shadow Know? IF even this gets too unwieldly, will I simply delete the entire category?

April the 12th, 2024..

I have made my decision. I have decided to completely delete the categories  (Step One and Step Two above) .. NATIONAL DAY – MARCH.. NATIONAL DAY – APRIL.

When, and IF the meaning of a National Day is already listed under one of our existing categories, I will refer to it by its category.

NATIONAL SUBMARINE DAY.. can now be found under U.S. Navy!

NATIONAL ERASE SELF-NEGATIVITY DAY.. can now be found under Mental Health!

NATIONAL BIG WIND DAY.. can now be found under wind.

NATIONAL FOR TWELVES DAY.. can now be found under numbers.

NATIONAL LICORICE DAY.. will not be able to be found. No current category covers licorice.

NATIONAL BIG WIND DAY.. Observed each year in the United States on April 12th, National Big Wind Day commemorates the recording of the highest natural wind gust measured on the Earth’s surface. On the afternoon of April 12, 1934, the Mount Washington Observatory recorded winds at 231 miles per hour.

Mount Washington is the highest peak in the Northeastern United States at 6,288 ft, and it is the most prominent mountain east of the Mississippi River.

NATIONAL FOR TWELVES DAY.. On National for Twelves Day (4/12), the nation will honor a magnificent number that holds significance in several ways. We measure our days in two 12 hour sets. When we buy roses, eggs, and pastries, we purchase them by the dozen. How many months are in a year? Twelve. Of course, math lovers appreciate 12 because it has a perfect number of divisors. How many steps and traditions are there? 12 of course.

NATIONAL LICORICE DAY..  National Licorice Day on April 12th each year celebrates licorice in all its forms. It also recognizes its history, health benefits, and distinction around the world. You won’t be limited when it comes to licorice, either. There are plenty of licorice candies, licorice ropes, jelly beans, jewels, and many others to enjoy!

Of course, the designation has evolved as people savor all types and flavors of licorice to celebrate the day.

National Hamster Day.. Falls on April 12 and is dedicated to these cute little rodents who are among the favorite pets in the United States! Yes, hamsters are adorable and easy to raise. All you need is a love for animals, and the dedication to ensure all the pet’s needs are met. Do you want to get a hamster for your kid but are not sure how to raise one? Well, this is exactly what this day is about. Learn all that you can about hamsters today and show the world why they are the best pets ever!

It’s a very interesting idea to tell about National Days in your posts! ♥ Personally, I just start seeking what I know / don’t know / have experience on these. It makes me feel more confident, if I know or I’m experienced in something, and it makes me feel alive and curious because I know that I’m going to learn further! ☺
Thank you, Cap, for making my life considerably more interesting. ♥
    Tight huggging to Patti! ☼

By the way, Cap, Patti, can you tell in your post about those days when the first man from the Earth visited the Space? It would be very interesting to know about your impressions on that event, please.

Hi Olga. I wouldn’t be able to do much more than I think you can do. That being to “Google” Appolo 11, July 16th to 24th, 1969. Yes I remember where I was on those days. I was “awestruck” as were most people at a man being on the moon Olga but I didn’t sit in front of the television for hours “fascinated” by the event. I was working at that time in Atlanta, Georgia, in professional automobile racing. Smiles Olga.. Cap

        Wow!
It’s interesting to learn how you met the news about A PERSON ON THE MOON. Thank you, Cap! Mr Armstrong is a hero!
And it’s my discovery that you were connected in some way with a professional automobile racing!… Can you reveal any more details? I’m sure that was a great experience of yours!…
