Well, this in not about re-reading an old Post. I wrote a new Post and “slipped it into yesterday’s APR 14, 25 Post” as a Part 2 of 2 Parts titled.. APR 14, 25 ( 2 / 2 ).. HAVASU LANDING CASINO.. MONDAY WITH EDDIE , ROCKY and WONDER WOMAN..

It closes out our year 2024-25 adventures over at Havasu Landing Casino with Rocky and the other slot machines that Eddie, our neighbor, and I play.

Tid-Bits.

Last Sunday, Patti and I were “totally captivated” by the final round of The Masters Golf Tournament. The Masters ended up in a sudden death extra hole that, after ten years of trying, Rory McIlroy, finally won. Rory is the first new member of Golf’s Grand Slam winners since Tiger Woods did it in 2000.

Today the NBA Championship Playoffs begin with the Play-In Tournament games April 15 to 18. The actual Playoffs begin April 19th.

Ah, so many phones to keep track of would drive me bonkers. I am sure you realize, Cap, that your Smart Phone is a mini-computer and can do everything that your computer can do. Assuming you have downloaded the appropriate apps, that is.

Further, as you rarely, if ever, go out on errands and carry your computer, it effectively becomes far more secure than your phone. One essential difference is that you can’t access two-stage security codes sent to your computer. Well, there is a way, but for your situation, it’s impractical.

This is turning into a convoluted mess, so I’ll address something else. I know you and Patti prefer to have nothing at all to do with Facebook. I find it very useful, not only for keeping in touch with a large number of friends who can all read the posts and comments but for reaching out to old acquaintances.

I was cleaning up litter one day and found someone’s phone in the traffic lane. I dialed the owner’s number, left a message that I’d found their phone and a few hours later, they came down from Anchorage to retrieve the phone.

I am not quite 100% sure as to just why I have an aversion to Facebook. I think at one time, and I could be wrong, IF you were on Facebook, it was next to impossible to get out of it. Also a fair number of friends have gotten out of Facebook without my input. I don’t think that you can date and organize Facebook pages like you can those on a website. On dotnet and Google Blogspot I have a Subject Index or a list of Categories to key words and each Post has its own individual date so I can easily refer to a Post ten or more years ago. I don’t think you can do this on Facebook. No. No Smart Phone can do 100% of what a laptop can do Gullible apps or no apps. Two Factor Authentication is vital nowadays and so I am protecting my number one Smart Phone from pickpockets, thieves, and MYSELF, who is quite capable of losing it all on my own. Smiling. Cap
