Yesterday, May the 21st was my mother’s Birthday.
Because today, May 22nd, is just one short day away from yesterday, and because it IS so apropos, I decided to use the below NATIONAL TODAY Holiday in honor of my mother.

Canadian Immigrants Day is observed on May 22 every year.
The holiday is meant to celebrate Canadians who immigrated to the United States.
Yes Oh Yes. My Mother was a Canadian Immigrant.
My Mother was born in London, Ontario, Canada. She was raised out in Western Canada in Regina, Saskatchewan. Eventually her family then returned to London, Ontario.
In the late 1920’s, she attended the University of Michigan, in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
There she met my father. On June the 3rd, 1933, they married in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
During the “War Years” in the early 1940’s she “officially immigrated to the United States”.
100% of my mother’s family, including her parents and twin sister remained forever in Canada!
So? I am part and I am parcel, one half Canadian.
