Because some, if not many of you in the Eastern Time Zones, read our Posts first thing in your morning, when we add information here in “dotnet” later in our day, you will not have seen it unless we tell you we added information.
We added Part 2 to yesterday’s Post, so Part 1 became Part 1 of 2.
Part 2 was 100% about our friend Gullible’s comment about e-books.
So if you are not interested in e-books just skip it.

Hello NATIONAL TODAY..

Why does this interest me? Because I made my living as a full time, professional racing engine builder. NASCAR evolved out of the Bootlegger’s driving fast cars and making U-Turns at 60mph to avoid the Federal Alcohol Tax Collectors.
National Bootlegger’s Day is celebrated on January 17, every year.
The term bootlegger had its origins in Midwest America, during the 1880s. When engaging in illegal liquor trade with Native Americans, the method of hiding liquor in boots was utilized. Soldiers would often sneak alcohol into base camp by hiding the flasks in their boots. Thus the term came to be used for any smuggler of liquor who smuggled booze over land. Those who smuggled alcohol via water were referred to as ‘rum-runners’.
I was surprised. No where in the NATIONAL TODAY Holiday article did it refer to the bootlegging drivers being the forerunners of NASCAR.

NATIONAL TODAY.. CHILI .. and JET LAG..
Interesting the two below interesting Holiday’s were together. This often occurs.

HOT HEADS CHILI ..

Chili lovers celebrate National Hot Heads Chili Day on January 17 every year.
Some many years ago, I personally got very interested in, studying and making Chili! I studied the market for the best Chili Peppers and used to make and give my Chili away to friends. Why I stopped I don’t really know. But stop I did.
Humans have always had a knack for chilis in their food. The first recipes for spicy foods go back to 6,000 years! This means that humans have been enjoying spicy food for quite some time. While the foods that we enjoy today may have changed and recipes altered, we still love spicy food. Unlike other animals, humans prefer spicy food simply because it tastes so incredible and on a plus side, spices also offer several health benefits.

JET LAG..
The term “jet lag” was first used in a Los Angeles Times article on February 13, 1966.
93% of long-haul travelers, flights lasting over 7 hours, struggle with jet lag!

Ever struggled with jet lag? Oh.. Yes.. Oh.. Yes..
On January 17, we celebrate National Lose the Jet Lag Day.
Planning a trip across times zones, now is the perfect day to learn more about jet lag science and how to “timeshift” to adjust more quickly to new time zones so you can experience more fulfilling and productive travel.
Jet lag is caused when the sleep-wake and light-dark cycle shifts too quickly for the circadian clock in your brain to keep up, disrupting almost all biological systems in your body, and often making the start and end of any trip feel exhausting.
Jet lag has significant human and financial costs, from poor concentration and reduced productivity to less enjoyment and weakened immune function.
We decided not to go into the techniques and suggestions for dealing with Jet Lag.
