Yes again! NATIONAL TODAY really gave us two “No Brainer” Holidays.
“No Brainer” Holidays? Yes! Absolutely must post them both.
And. Yes again. Our two “No Brainer” Holidays below were paired together on the NATIONAL TODAY website..

No! Not because Peanut Brittle is more important than my Spouse Patti but because of their relative order on NATIONAL TODAY!
So! NATIONAL TODAY thinks Peanut Brittle IS more important so they put it number one!
But get this! Patti told me about Peanut Brittle! Patti did not notice nor mention Spouse Day!

Why is Peanut Brittle a “No Brainer” for us?
Because.. We.. Love.. Peanut Brittle.. We buy it by the Tub at Sam’s Club during the Christmas Holiday Season.
National Peanut Brittle Day is celebrated on January 26.
There’s no traceable evidence about the origins of Peanut Brittle. There are multiple theories pointing to all the possible people who may have made the sweet and salty confectionary first.
It’s theorized that Peanut Brittle made its way to the U.S. through Irish settlers coming to live in the New World.
A woman in New England might have created Peanut Brittle by accidentally pouring baking soda into her taffy mix instead of cream of tartar.
Because there are the above and more multiple origin stories regarding Peanut Brittle, it’s absolutely possible that all of them hold some grasp of truth. This would explain the reason why Peanut Brittle from one side of the country can look and taste differently than Peanut Brittle on the opposite side. And as people move around, try different recipes, and create new ones of their own, all of the possible origin theories begin to turn into one bark of delicious brittle.
Though delicious, Peanut Brittle is mostly sugar and butter. We definitely wouldn’t recommend making it a daily part of your diet, but today is National Peanut Brittle Day, so don’t be afraid to indulge just this once!

National Spouse Day is celebrated on January 26.
Other than Valentine’s Day, this is the only worldwide holiday that gives couples a chance to spoil each other.
So let’s celebrate happiness on this love filled day.
Celebrate your spouse and show your better half that they are indeed appreciated. Let’s admit, sometimes married couples need reminders to leave the hamster wheel that is everyday life.
This is a day created for giving time rather than gifts.
Twenty minutes of holding hands with your partner or cuddling even, can release hormones that leave you both happier and feeling good. In turn, this relieves stress and makes you feel closer to one another.
