Each February 24, we celebrate National Tortilla Chip Day. 

Tortilla chips were initially an afterthought, a simple snack made with leftover tortillas. 

Nachos without tortilla chips is just a gooey mess. Tortilla chips make the dish, and this dish is one of the best foods in existence. This alone makes the tortilla chip a national treasure.

Steak Burgers..

February 24 is National Steakburger Day.

The steakburger is rooted in America’s love for beef. While the hamburger itself dates back to the late 19th and early 20th centuries, the steakburger emerged later as chefs and home cooks sought a richer, juicier alternative to standard ground beef patties.

Do I need?

Do I want a Steakburger?

No! Not really!

A Burger King Double Whopper does me just fine. Patti does not eat any red meat.

How about one of the below beauties. A 32 ounce (two pound) Burger.

Culvers Double Burgers also work just fine for yours truly.

    When I saw “National Tortilla Chip Day,” my brain said “I want/need nachos.” And then, like a message from the universe, the next picture was NACHOS! :-) I know what I will be having for lunch today. Thank you!

    Last night, I looked in the fridge and thought “nothing good to eat tomorrow. :-( Then Cap and Patti to the rescue!

    Ah-h-h, yes….fond memories of gastronomical and orgiastic food-fests of Steak Burgers with Cap, Patti, Danni and me in Windsor, Ontario, on our return from the Int. Convention in Toronto in 2005, eh? One of my most treasured adventures of a lifetime!
    And some of those Nachos appear vaguely familiar while I still resided in Anchorage, AK and often would rendevous to enjoy a sitdown at our favorite Airport Lounge on the way into the Ted Stevens airpot in Anchorage. Si?
    Okie Dokie, fun posts now on my way to bed for the night and I’m craving Nachos! lol
