QUIET !!
A nice NATIONAL TODAY Holiday!

Quiet Day is celebrated every year on February 25.
Quiet Day is about taking a pause and appreciating the sound of silence. Noise is everywhere — be it on the train, in a busy office, in the pub, in the classroom, or even at home! Modern life is noisy; it seems like there is simply no way out of it. Being in the constant presence of noise can be overwhelming and it is important to take a break every once in a while. We know that quiet is good for both the body and the mind. Peace calms us down and helps us re-center ourselves.

Inconvenience Yourself Day is celebrated on the fourth Wednesday in February and takes place on February 25 this year.
Too Feel Good? Do Good! Our gift from Jerry Berkeley, Cleveland, Ohio.
It’s a holiday dedicated to putting other people first, and going out of your way to help. Inconveniencing yourself isn’t fun, but practicing self-awareness about how your actions affect people are really important for self-growth. In a world where people are busy and more disconnected from each other. Inconvenience Yourself Day is a fantastic way to shift focus from our own lives to people around us and work to become a little kinder to each other. People usually observe this day by performing random acts of kindness, being patient with others, and being there for someone who might need help.
Human beings are inherently kind. We are capable of great acts of kindness, and being completely unselfish.
All it comes down to is opportunity.Acts of kindness and compassion boost our dopamine and serotonin levels — the ‘feel-good’ chemicals in our brains. In a sense, human beings are wired to be compassionate to each other, because we are social animals. Drive courteously. Help someone load their groceries into the car. Any small deed of kindness can make a huge difference in someone’s life.
Scientists have found that helping someone can release feel-good hormones, which can cause someone to feel immense satisfaction and happiness after helping others. This phenomenon is known as “Helper’s High.”
There really IS a lot of good reading in this Holiday. To check it out just click onto the below link.

Yes! Oh Yes! Patti and I know.
Yes! Oh Yes! Patti and I fully understand, that only a very few of you, our readers here on dotnet, care one itsy, bitsy, teeny, weeny, iota, about the CBS Reality Television Show Survivor!!
But since Survivor is really important to us, we wanted to give you the below review.
Patti watched the first ever Survivor show that began on May 31, 2000. Patti introduced me to Survivor (All-Stars Season 8) in May of 2004.
Patti and I really enjoy watching Survivor together.
Beginning May 31, 2000, this will be the 50th Season of Survivor spanning 25 years. This is an epic show in an epic Survivor Season.
Jeff Probst (below) has hosted Survivor since the very beginning of the show.

This is the longest, non-finale episode in Survivor history, designed to kick off the landmark 50th season.
There you have Survivor Season 50’s kick off!
Kick Off? I enjoy following Survivor as much, if not MORE, than I do watching Football Games and the Super Bowl.
At 7pm Mountain Time this evening, Patti and I will be holding our breath hoping we can successfully navigate our TV and watch Survivor. IF we are not able to do so, our neighbor Debbie, on the right below, another passionate Survivor aficionado, has invited us over to her apartment. Talk about a good neighbor and friend!!
