LETTER TO AN ELDER DAY.. Is celebrated on February 26.

Letter to an Elder Day was first celebrated in 2020 to encourage letter writing to our Elders.

This Holiday started with the aim of fighting loneliness with love among senior communities. This day comes once a year to honor the art of letter-writing as a way to send love, one letter at a time!

Patti and I try to do this by sending, throughout the year, hand written notes to some of our own Senior Citizen friends. However we also text those Senior Friends who text message.

A single handwritten letter has the power to change someone’s day, week, month, or even life.

We were curious as to just what this NATIONAL TODAY Holiday was all about!

“Oh For Pete’s Sake what on earth are you talking about?”

Pete’s Sake Day is celebrated every year on February 26.

Could it possibly be that Pete here is likely to refer to St. Peter? However, it is sort of a euphemism, a phrase substituted for one considered to be too harsh or blunt when referring to something unpleasant or embarrassing.

“For The Love of Pete!” .. “For Crying Out Loud! .. “For Heaven’s Sakes!”.. Are similar expressions.

SURVIVOR SEASON 50..

In our Post Yesterday we wrote.. 

Yes! Oh Yes! Patti and I know.

Yes! Oh Yes! Patti and I fully understand, that only a very few of you, our readers here on dotnet, care one itsy, bitsy, teeny, weeny, iota, about the CBS Reality Television Show Survivor!!

First and foremost, with Patti’s excellent skills, she was able to successfully navigate our television so we did not have to go over to Debbie our neighbor’s apartment to watch the first Survivor 50 episode. 

The epic three hour show is a long time for either of us to sit watching anything on television beginning with sporting events!

The first 30 minutes were very interesting “Look Backs” at Survivor’s History.

To our disappointment, there was only one Immunity challenge followed by only one Tribal Counsel and so only one person was voted out! 

One of the 24 contestants injured his ankle during the one Immunity Challenge and sadly had to be “Retired” from the show, so actually two contestants went home in this weeks show.

After the show, after writing this Post, Patti and I spent an hour and fifteen minutes on-line reading Dalton Ross and in addition many other exceptional interviews with a good many other Survivor writers.

This may be, but then again it may not be, as to us writing any more Survivor Season 50 reports here on dotnet.
