MAY 26, 26.. SUMMER HAS BEGUN.. RED HEAD DAY.. PAPER AIRPLANES..
I know. Patti knows. You know. We all know that “Officially” Sumer Begins on Sunday, June the 21st 2026, at 12:24am Eastern Time the date of the Summer (Astronomical) Solstice.
Look below at what Google and Artificial Intelligence have to say..
Summer 2026 features a uniquely extended “unofficial” season. Because Memorial Day falls on the earliest possible date (May 25) and Labor Day lands on its latest possible date (September 7), the period between them spans 15 full weeks, giving us the longest possible summer stretch this year of 2026.

Here is a Big Thank You to Danny Z 48073..
A real BFF since November 1988, thanks so very much Danny for texting Patti and me the fact that today NATIONAL TODAY has one of our “No Brainer National Holidays” !

World Redhead Day is celebrated every year on May 26.
Redheads are those whose hair has a variety of red hues from a deep burgundy or bright copper, or auburn, to burnt orange or red-orange to strawberry blond. Red hair is usually associated with fair skin color, lighter eye color, freckles, and sensitivity to ultraviolet light.
If you have red hair, you are considered a part of a unique group because less than 2% of the world’s population is born with naturally red hair.
Red hair is more common and appears with greater frequency (between 2% and 6%) among those of Northern European descent. Red hair gets its color from high levels of the reddish pigment pheomelanin and low levels of the dark pigment eumelanin.
Throughout history, red hair is believed to be good for women, but not for men.
Get this !! There is a magazine called “MC1R” exclusively for redheads. “MC1R” stands for “melanocortin-1 receptor,” a protein-coding gene. MC1R is the world’s first independent print magazine and design project dedicated entirely to the culture and community of redheads. Named after the protein responsible for red pigment in hair and skin, it was founded in Hamburg, Germany, by Tristan Rodgers as a photography project that blossomed into a global publication.
My very own loving Red Head !! Patti !!

No one but I Your Captain could possibly have guessed that.. NATIONAL PAPER AIRPLANE DAY is a fun Holliday for me.
And ?? Get This !!
Whodda Thunk !! NATIONAL PAPER AIRPLANE DAY is the Number One, Top of the List of Holidays, for May 26, 2026 !!

National Paper Airplane Day is celebrated every year on May 26th.
Paper airplanes have fascinated children and adults alike around the globe for generations.
The day is usually celebrated with contests in two basic flight categories: distance and time in air. The practice of constructing paper planes is sometimes referred to as (this is too funny) aerogami, after origami, the Japanese art of paper folding. Crafting paper planes is said to have originated out of ancient China, but the art is said to have been perfected out of Japan.
Now Get This !! Never, Never Ever, right up until this instant, has “Yours Truly” been able to successfully fold and fly a Paper Airplane. In grade school there was one classmate, Dick Eaton, who could really fold great paper airplanes!
