NEVER SAY NEVER .. is a popular “expression”.

Yes I know I am repeating myself!

Here I go..

NEVER, as in NEVER, NEVER, NEVER.. did I think for one New York Minute that I would be passionately..

PASSIONATELY !!

Rooting for, and hoping for, and wishing that, the New York Knicks, a Sports Team from the City of New York, win a MAJOR CHAMPIONSHIP!!

Against the San Antonio Spurs, a team from the West, who Patti and I have enjoyed seeing play in their home arena in Texas. I have a personal interest in the Spurs.

For the past full day (beginning after the game Saturday evening and all day yesterday Sunday) I have been scouring the tabloids to read more and more and still more about the Knicks winning the 2026 NBA Championship for the very first time in Fifty Three (53) years!!

The star of the Spurs, 7 foot 4 inch tall, Victor Wembanyama (Wemby) said in an ESPN interview..

“We absolutely dominated for most of the series. But our errors, our mistakes are punished so hard that we can’t have ups and downs like this so much you know? The ups are OK. The downs are the reason we lost.”

Many press pundits are saying that perhaps Wemby will regret saying .. “We absolutely dominated for most of the series.” because the Spurs lost all three games at home in San Antonio and won only one game losing in five games!

Wemby went on to say.. “What I’m pissed about is that there’s more than 100 games until we can be back in the Finals.”

I am not happy the Spurs lost. I was not rooting against the Spurs. But I am thrilled the Knicks won! Make sense?
