WITH ONE VERY MAJOR EXCEPTION .. that being the below two photos .. the snow is NOW 100% MELTED.

DSCN4230[1]These two (above and below) photos were snapped up-our-street across from where we go into the park to the lake.  And oh yes .. they are hanging on stubbornly! Use the automobile in the driveway to orient the two photos.  I am NOT planning to follow them all-the-way into JUNE!

Speaking of ‘our lake’ .. below I will briefly re-visit it ..

DSCN4121[1]

Several weeks ago (above) and today (below) is our walking path to the lake.  The first two photos at the very top of this post of our stubborn snow piles would be 180-degrees behind you.

Go to the end of the above walk and turn to your right and you see the below scene today ..

DSCN4223[1]

And below as it looked in early March with the Iditarod Sled Dog Teams coming down this very pleasant walking and bicycling trail .. to orient the above and below photo focus on the bridge over the creek ..

Walking to the above bridge ..

DSCN4226[1]

Going onto the bridge and turning to your right you see the wonderful stream (below) coming from the lake which is to the left above ..

The lake which empties into the above stream ..

TO MOURN .. is to feel or show great sadness because someone has died or to feel or show great
sadness or unhappiness about (something) ..

THIS IS WHAT ALL OF THESE SNOW-MELT POSTS HAVE BEEN ABOUT!

I very well could have spent my last winter here in Alaska.  I plan to be in India next winter 2014-2015. I cannot possibly know what the winter of 2015-2016 holds for me. IF I feel up-to-it I will probably try to visit India yet again during the winter months of 2015-2016.

So I have been silently mourning the passing of this past winter season.

In addition to winter itself .. I have also been mourning the melting of the various snow stockpiles!  When you have been looking at them for MONTHS .. they all take-on a personality!  They become like friends.  And now both winter and my buddies (all of the snow stockpiles) have passed away.

And I did NOT GET IT (all of this mourning) until today!

“What’s that Oh God Of Abraham?” .. “I can fly South to the Antarctic!” ..

“Ah-h-h-h-h let me get back to you on that God!”

Smiles .. Cap
